1. When did you first get into recreational boating?
It was around 1991. My first boat was a 40-footer and, even though my kids were in college by that point, it became a family thing. I bought a second boat so they could easily come out and meet me. Now that they’re older, spending time out on the water is still something we enjoy as a family, and it now includes our grandchildren. I take my grandkids out on my boat and they fish off the bow, or we all head out to Fire Island.

Dieter Cardwell and Team Tide Line

Raymarine would like to extend its congratulations to Pro Ambassador Dieter Cardwell for his impressive win in the Frances Langford Memorial Tournament in Jensen Beach, Florida! Team Tide Line, comprised of Dieter and teammates Kevin Alley and Mike Lundy, caught a 57.10 pound king mackerel on the final day of competition to win the event.

Raymarine’s Pro Ambassadors continue to dominate the 2010 tournament season! Miami-based Rock Star, skippered by Raymarine Pro Ambassador Scott Leon, took top honors in the first ever Miami Open Billfish Series. Over the four day event the crew, including Jorge Piedra, Rudy Espinosa Sr., Joe Turner, Ovi Vento, Rudy Espinosa Jr., Henry Jimenez and Eloy Dominguez, released a total of 21 fish, earning them the winning title and an impressive prize package.
