We are thrilled to congratulate Captain Tom Pitasi on winning the first annual Cape Cod 5000 (www.capecod5000.com) fishing tournament, held this past weekend at Oyster Harbors Marine in Osterville, MA. Pitasi rose to the top of thirty-five teams competing to catch two Striped Bass between 28 and 36 inches each, capturing the first place honors and $5,000 prize.

Hailing from Waterford, Connecticut, Pitasi led Team Raymarine II to the top of Sunday’s leader board with two Striped Bass that tipped the scales at 33.1 lbs. Pitasi, a Raymarine Pro Ambassador, was joined by crew members David Laska, Scott Holder and Raymarine VP of Sales Larry Rencken. Their boat was fully equipped with Raymarine’s latest and greatest equipment, including the C-Series Widescreen C90W and C120W, DSM300 HD Digital Fishfinder, RD418D Digital Radar, SIRIUS Marine Weather Service and more.

“Having the Raymarine Digital Radome running on my new C-Series Widescreen Displays was crucial in locating the fish and navigating through the thick Cape Cod fog,” said Pitasi.

Born and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, Captain Pitasi spent much of his youth fishing Long Island Sound for Bluefish and Striped Bass. Today, he runs Coastal Fishing Charters out of Waterford, fishing the waters of Eastern Long Island Sound and Block Island Sound and specializing in Fly and Light Tackle fishing.
