Earlier this year, Woo was inducted alongside five other bass fishing legends into the BFHOF, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping anglers and manufacturers further the sport of bass fishing.

Fishing Fort Jefferson National Park

Raymarine Pro Ambassador Capt. Eddie Muñiz recently fished the waters near Fort Jefferson National Park. Thank you to Capt. Eddie for supplying us with the following account of his trip.

We all have certain places in this beautiful world of ours that we have been to, or would love to go to, that have an aura that is beyond explanation or description. I think that fisherman specially have some or a lot of these places. Some may say the remote locations of the eastern Bahamas, while others will talk about the deep waters of the pacific or perhaps even the tranquil backcountry of the everglades and flamingo. For me though there is no other place that personifies this more than the amazing waters, and islands, of our Fort Jefferson National park and the waters of the Dry Tortugas. Read more…

Pro Ambassador: Tom Petersen

Captain Tom Petersen has been navigating everything from Canoes to Sailboats to 85 ft Commercial charter boats since he was a child. Although he loves traditional fishing in California and Mexico, he is found more often fishing underwater while Scuba diving! He is the Commodore of the Channel Islands Sea Ray Club and is an active member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He has been active in numerous Yacht Clubs over his 30+ years of boating. As a commercial Captain he holds a 100 Ton Masters license. He is also an active PADI Master Instructor for over 25 years. Read more…

Pro Ambassador: Phil Gutmann

Phil Gutmann has been fishing and enjoying the outdoors most of his life. He credits his passion for fishing to his late grandfather. Phil’s main focus in the fishing world since 1986 has been the “elusive king of freshwater”; the muskie. To date, he has registered some 400 muskies through his membership with the Fox River Valley Chapter of Muskies, Inc. His largest muskie (released) is a 54”, 40 lb. supertanker caught on his favorite summer destination which is Lake of the Woods, Ontario. Read more…

sal_alfanoSal Alfano, our 2007 Pro Ambassador of the year, is well known on Long Island for the seminars he conducts and Raymarine owners he has personally helped over the years. Raymarine’s own Jim McGowan had a chance to sit down with Sal to chat about proper navigation techniques.
Sal has been boating for 19 years with all that time being spent on the north and south shores of Long Island and the nearby states of Connecticut and Rhode Island. Sal owns a 50 foot 1993 Sea Ray Sedan Bridge boat called The “A” Team.
