Captain Tom Pitasi takes Top Prize at The Cape Cod 5000

We are thrilled to congratulate Captain Tom Pitasi on winning the first annual Cape Cod 5000 (www.capecod5000.com) fishing tournament, held this past weekend at Oyster Harbors Marine in Osterville, MA. Pitasi rose to the top of thirty-five teams competing to catch two Striped Bass between 28 and 36 inches each, capturing the first place honors and $5,000 prize.

Pro Ambassador: Gary Clark

gary-clarkGary is a second generation fisherman, born in Miami Florida. He grew up fishing in Miami and the Florida keys and moved to the west coast of Florida in 1977. Gary has fished the Lee County area recreationally until 1992 when he then began to guide full time. To date Gary has fished tournaments and began instructing at the Ultimate Backwater fishing school. Gary entered and won his first tournament at age 12, He is currently a Pro Staff guide with Raymarine, Ranger Boats, Patagonia, Power Pole anchors, Power Pro Fishing Lines, Owner Hooks, Berkly, Gray Taxidermy, G-Loomis. He has been an instructor at The Ultimate Backwater Fishing School for six years and has shot two fishing shows for ESPN Kent Hrbeck Outdoors. Read more…

Pro Ambassador: Sal Alfano

sal_alfanoSal Alfano has been a Pro Ambassador ( Pro Staff ) for the past 8 years. He has provided in excess of 1000 Raymarine users ON-BOARD (their boat) lessons in the use of their equipment. Sal conducts seminars on Long Island every year from April to October. He also gives 4 seminars each year, using Raymarine E-Series, on “The Language and Concepts of Chartplotting and Radar”. The seminars are given in Norwalk, Connecticut and Lindenhurst, New York and are always overbooked. Because of logistical constraints he is only able to accommodate +/- 150 participants each year.
